Atlanta Four Seasons Hotel: We Like to Stay Here!
By Toni Davis
Atlanta, GA -It was 4 degrees in Chicago. My husband was on his way to Atlanta. Four degrees—as I uttered the frozen Fahrenheit numerals a demure mantra surfaced --- Four Four Four...Seasons! I donned my bag, my book, and my blackberry and tagged along. On the flight down I prioritized my weekend respite from the bitter cold…a day at the spa, another day at the spa—and if time permits, a day at the spa.

With recent renovations complete, this Midtown HotSpot has surpassed even itself with its historic elegance and unmatched personal service. With new room décor and thread counts fit for royalty, our spacious room was quite the extravagance, in contrast to the close quarters of our Chicago downtown studio. But, getting back to my agenda for this trip, the newest addition to the property is a state of the art spa. I started out with a Marine Mineral Renewal to revive my winter chaffed face and couldn’t resist scheduling a Thermal Booster on my final day in preparation for the Windy City. Then, there was the Urban Detox Marine Wrap...contrasting with the Chocolate Mouse Facial. I was not going to be swayed by my body’s guilt with all this pleasure when I discovered a body treatment was finished off with cranberry sugar scrub! There were times when I could not distinguish between the sensory palate of the spa offerings and the flavors offered on the Park 75 menu.

Speaking of food and libations, Park 75 Lounge is known as Atlanta’s hip and popular "midtown living room," where locals and travelers alike experience exceptional service and unwind to the smooth sounds of jazz. The Park 75 dining experience is not to be missed. Chef Robert Gerstenecker plates contemporary dishes with fresh seasonal products. My favorite is his tasting menu matched up to a boutique wine.
You may not want to leave the Four Seasons once you are there...but I have to admit to forfeiting a day at the property only to experience a taste of the cultural opportunities offered within walking distance of the hotel.
