I arrived at the hotel just in time for the Manager's Reception -- complimentary cocktails and beverages being served in the atrium, the perfect place to unwind and plan the weekend.
With so many restaurants within walking distance I strolled along Peachtree Street and found the perfect Sushi Bar. I can't remember the last time I walked to any restaurant. No car, no hassle. I love this!
The suites are spacious and well-appointed but the "slam-dunk" for me was having a television in the living room and the bedroom. I was able to stretch out on the couch and watch the end of the playoffs before calling it a night.
In the morning I was pleased to see that the Embassy Suite's Complimentary Cooked-to-Order Breakfast is quite the spread! Eggs and omelets prepared any way you want, breakfast meats and all the sides. For those of you counting carbs, calories or points there's plenty of cereal choices, fresh fruit, granola and the list goes on.
Now it’s time to walk off breakfast and hit the mall. First stop, Lenox Square Mall. After finding some great gifts and chipping away at my Christmas list, I was off to Phipps Plaza, just across the street. Phipps is known as one of the South’s premier luxury malls and it was the perfect place to pick up a few of the "finer" gifts on my list. Two hours later, my shopping complete, I realized that there were many more packages than I cared to carry two blocks back to the hotel. So, a quick call and the hotel shuttle was there in an instant. No car for two days now!
As someone who hates the stress of holiday shopping, I'll gladly do this again next year. A new tradition has been born!
