Grown out of a desire to expand, MomoCon LLC is the result of the hard work and toil of a small group of people. This convention intends to be split among anime, gaming, and costuming, catering to all needs, young'uns who come with their parents, and all walks of life to come to MomoCon. Our emphasis is on the fans, the players; the people who make these industries that we all love survive. Based out of Atlanta, we can't forget our roots in the comfort of the South, the gentility and hospitality associated with the Georgia disposition. No where else is Southern Hospitality more alive and we would like everyone to enjoy what we do best: having fun.

Anime O-Tekku members have been toying with the idea of a Georgia Tech convention for years, and only in 2004 did the idea take hold. An officer and an alumni from O-Tekku, along with a tiny crew of dedicated staff, put on Techwood Con, an anime and gaming convention that met with success for a first-year convention (attendance was around 175 people). In subsequent years, however, Techwood Con decided to market more to the board/card/RPG gaming community, changed venues, and is charging a fee, so Anime O-Tekku decided to withdraw formal support and reformat what ideas we had for a convention.

MomoCon began through Anime O-Tekku, and AOT members and alumni still comprise a good portion of the overall MomoCon staff base. Our dedicated staffers worked to bring MomoCon 2005 to life, and we greeted by 700+ smiling faces of eager attendees. Each year this committed troupe strives to make aspects of the convention better, and is always looking to the horizon for new opportunities.
