It's getting close to Thanksgiving, so why not leap into the spirit of the season? American Indian tribes from around the country are gathering in Atlanta for the Annual Pow Wow & Indian Festival, and they've invited YOU!
The Pow Wow and Festival celebrates American Indian culture and the skills that flourished among these first Americans. It also features a living Indian village in which American Indians will live and work as they did for thousands of years.
Georgia's Stone Mountain has established itself as one of the hottest destinations in Atlanta for special events, and come wintertime it's no different. Stone Mountain kicks off the holiday season with its "A Southern Christmas" celebration.
Ring in the New Year at the 21st Annual Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta with family fun and Atlanta's own 800 lb. peach! Peach Drop is the largest New Year's Eve Countdown celebration in the entire southeast and this year's celebration is set to be the best one yet!
Though it is not quite as well known as the famed Rose Bowl, Atlanta's Peach Bowl Parade is a must see for anyone in the metro-area.
Annually, around the New Year, about 30 local high school bands, many drum major groups, classic cars, floats and various other parade fare, make their way through the streets of this southern epicenter. They all march through the downtown area to honor and celebrate the two college teams that will be playing for the coveted Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl title.
Strike up the band and join us along the streets of downtown Atlanta for one of the Southeast's premier holiday parades, the Children’s Christmas Parade on December 5th.
Get a front-row seat at the parade by purchasing a bleacher seat for $12 each. Tickets for this reserved streetside seating will go on sale Oct. 1, 2009.
