7 Stages opened its doors in 1978 in a 60-seat Little Five Points storefront. The idea was to produce plays that no other Atlanta theatre would produce. 7 Stages presented its first play in 1979, and now, to mark 20 years of theatrical excellence, 7 Stages will present a season of premieres and international collaborations ushering in another 20 years of success.

Founded in 1995, Dad's Garage Theatre has grown from a small volunteer led organization to a thriving mid-size theatre led by professional artistic and administrative staff. The family at Dad's has continued to grow along with us including over 300 volunteers and performers. We now entertain more than 30,000 people a year at our two-theatre facility in Inman Park, at public events across the state.
