Ricky Senner, owner has been operating Sweet Basil's forever and he's got it down pat. I usually order their eggplant parmesan and their pizza is really yummy. I even like sitting at the bar and having a Peroni draft.

A tasty local Italian stop, 2008-04-18

Aside from Pasta Grill (the beach's best Italian place), Sweet Basil's is tops for Italian fare on Front Beach Road. The red sauce is made in-house and has a unique flavor, and the cream salad dressing is wonderful. Other can't-miss items include the White Pizza and the giant seasoned meatball. The decor needs some work, but the food is solid.

Great food for a change from seafood, 2007-10-07

We were tired of seafood and wanted something different. Our son loves Italian, so we thought we would try this place. We were a litte leary at first, but this turned out to be great. They only have one dressing, creamy pesto, but it is the BEST! The bread was awesome, too. The kids and I got pizzas, they were wonderful. Hubby got angel hair pasta with the biggest meatball. It was delicious! We will surely return!!

Killer Bread and Salad, 2007-07-13

I work close to Sweet Basil's and when I'm in the mood for pasta it is very convenient. The salad is really good and the bread is to die for. They must soak the bread in about 18 pounds of butter before they bring it out. Might be bad for you but it is so goooddddd. I have been known to just have bread sticks and a couple of brews. Everything is good including the pizzas. Prompt service, good prices.

Fresh Made Takes Time, 2007-03-19

Sweet Basils is an exceptional restaurant. Most complaints have been that service was slow. Fast food comes from Burger King. Fresh made food takes time. Their food is made fresh when you order it, so therefore it will take more time than most places. We recommend this to anyone who is visiting the Panama City area. We go there every time we come down.

Good Italian Food, 2006-07-12

Sweet Basil's has an awesome lunch and dinner menu that has fair pricing for the servings they provide! I have to agree that the salad is yummers - to think of their pizza makes my mouth water -- and if you want a great Pomodoro -- beats Olive Garden hands down! The staff is friendly and while sometimes service is a little on the slow side, the payoff is walking out feeling completely satisfied! I recommend Sweet Basil's if you have had enough seafood during your stay!

The food at Sweet Basil's was fairly good. The problem was that they were slow. We went on either a Saturday or Sunday night and they were a little busy but seemed to be understaffed. The food took a while to get to our table.

Great pizza, garlic cheese bread, and pasta with marinara. Superb giant meatball! But the BEST thing is the House Salad in a huge bowl on your table that you dish out to guests. Salad refills are free...the dressing is OUTSTANDING.
