If you want the authentic beach store experience, skip Wal-Mart and shop at Alvin's. This place is a lot of fun. The kids will love it too. They have everything you need while you're here on the beach - from suntan lotion to flip-flops. If you want to buy gifts for your loved ones back home, this is a great spot.

I've been visiting Panama City Beach for almost 30 years now...and every year stopping in an Alvin's Island is a must...especially the Magic Mountain store. I love the selection and after all this time always have to get one of the cheesy touristy souvenirs. Alvin's has something for everyone and their prices are pretty good. I highly recommend stopping here on your trip. I live in Pensacola and we have one there too..but I like the ones in Panama City Beach better.

I've been going there since I was like 14 or since it was built.. I still remember before they got the alligators, it was cool then, but now, WOW. I like it more than when I was a kid! My son LOVES IT and he HATES STORES. It is the only store I can relax in, without hearing him groan about leaving.. He actually doesn't want to leave! He loves the journy to the center of the earth, and he also loves petting the alligators when they have someone out to allow it. He likes the shark aquariam as well as the many things to look at and the homeade fudge. This is just one of those places you gotta go to before you leave panama city beach! They also have great prices on their surf boards as well as a game room in the very back.. You will LOVE this place! UPDATE I was very dissapointed this year with Alvins magic mountain store, as it is now called instead of mall. The lady at the front check out was very rude, after we brought a flashlight back that didn't work, the day we got it, and wasn't going to give us our money back, until I started complaining, and she then called her manager on her phone and talked in another language. I wasn't happy, and don't intend on shopping there next summer. I am sure I can find somewhere else to spend my hard earned money on the beach. We found some great items at the winn dixie on west pcb.

Not your typical "touristy" store -- they do have all you'd want as a tourist, but as a local, I can find unique and interesting items for my home, office and gifts from the beach! Alvin's is a must shop on Panama City Beach!

They have Alvin's all over PCB... about every 2 miles. Some stores are bigger and have tons of stuff. Especially good if you're looking for bikinis - they have a huge selection. My boyfriend usually finds some guys stuff, too. And lots of cheesy tourist souvenirs if that's what you're looking for. But the key is to find the bigger Alvins since they have a bigger selection.
