If you are in New Orleans over Thanksgiving you only have one place to be- the Fair grounds. Everyone gets all fancied up (I mean dressed up) with their hats and high heels and goes to the race track. The horse race from Thanksgiving to end of March. The track is alway open with Off Track Betting, so any time of year you can go to the Fairgrounds and bet on horse. They are even adding slot machines in the OTB area. In the spring it's a fun New Orleans tradition to go bet on the horses, one of the oldest tracks around!
