In the best possible way! Authentic Spanish and Latin cuisine - incredible wines that I have never tasted before. The service is expert - and it has to be, because the dishes are so original that most diners have many questions. But, the wait staff must be used to it, because they are patient and go into great detail - with many stories if you press them for more. Of course, they have the good sense to be sure your wine glasses are filled and you have the first and second round of tapas and treats to nibble on as you consider your main courses. I really felt that I was in another country... a very wonderful and magical country that I will visit again and again! Oh - but, when we finished our meal and stepped out to grab a cab, the owner accompanied us - just as cordial and charming as you can imagine, and pointed out - to our GREAT delight - that the entire Saints football team, including the Saint himself, Drew Brees, were next door watching the San Francisco game - the Warehouse District is just buzzing with energy these days -it was a magical night! Go there!

I visit New Orleans 10x's a year. I ALWAYS eat at least one meal at Rio Mar. Look for the specials of the day to enhance the daily delicious offerings. Fish preparations are my favorite---ask Nick Brazan to recommend the wine. All resonably priced.

Our bon vivant friend gave us a strong recommendation and a gift certificate for Rio Mar. Nice combination and we got her money's worth all around. The superb chimichurri sauce on my wife's hanger steak lets me know how to use all that parsley we have growing at home. Fried yucca certainly surpasses potatoes as a side for the steak. We cook a lot of seafood at home including black drum and octopus - but it was better here as it should be in a fine restaurant. When we are back, we'll be back.
