Very cool and caribbean with a laid back Key West attitude. Great conch fritters and fresh caribbean seafood recipes. Popular bar!

Restaurant Name: Key West Grill We had a group dine with this restaurant, and it was the worst restaurant experience we all have ever had. At first the afternoon started off great, but then it took 45 minutes before we received any drinks. The waitress kept bringing glasses of water instead of the drinks that we ordered. We ended up having three glasses of water in the middle of the table and not any of the drinks that we ordered. The waitress brought out an appetizer 10 minutes before my meal, she didn't bring out my friend's appetizer at all, and she didn't brink out my sister-in-law's salad either. Never once did we receive an apology for these mistakes. She just said "OH" but never tried to make anything right. We gave her our Myrtle Beach VIP cards to take off $2.00 on the appetizer, which she didn't take off, and the restaurant charges 18% gratuity per person per meal ordered. We then asked for the manager to ask to have the tip lowered because of bad service. He then informed us that there is no way that the tip can be lowered any, "That's the way the computer rings it up." So basically the waitress can provide all the bad service that she wants because she is automatically going to get an 18% tip from everyone. Just from our table alone she made a $120 dollars tip, and her service was awful!! This restaurant provides very poor customer service, and they have very bad attitudes. None of my party, including myself, is never going to return to this restaurant.

The food here is mediocre at best and the service was not good at all. We couldn't get refilled drinks, you'd think they want the money. Food run of the mill.

My wife and I make this a regular stop on every visit to the beach area. The food is always good, as is the service. The margaritas are awesome and the bartenders friendly and helpful with information to questions asked.

Food good, service average, prices high for style, 2005-12-18

The day we ate there for lunch, the waiter seemed bored with his job. We had to prompt him more than once for drink refills. I don't think he spoke English as his native language, and gave the appearance that he didn't really want to be there. We've eaten there a half-dozen times, and the place has always been practically empty every time we've gone. I suspect if the prices were somewhat lower, they'd get more business, but that's just my opinion. $14 per person average for lunch (included two appetizers, four lunches, 3 non-alcoholic beverages and one tap water, no dessert) seems pretty high to me. To me lunch should average a high of about $8 to $9 per person, drink included, at a "nice" restaurant. The prices are right in line for dinner. This place's saving grace is the high-quality food and getting to sit next to the water (lake and/or pond). 7 out of 10 stars. (Probably would have been an 8 with friendlier waitstaff.)

We ate here with a group of about seven people. The service was average, the food was good, the atmosphere was great and the location is awesome! We had the seafood nachos as an app and I had the pork chop lunch with mashed potatos, etc. This place also looks like it probably has a good nightlife scene. Very cool bar.
