Southern Living Magazine has named the Sea Captain's House "Best Seafood Restaurant" four years in a row! Over the years, the restaurant has accumulated more awards than any other restaurant on the Grand Strand.

Coming 30+years w/golf groups and returning for family trips. What a Shame!! The food has gone down hill and $$$.For lunch the hostess is very phony and loud and hints for tips for window table. Then she sits down on adjacent table to eat a dessert afterwards. The table that came in after us and got sat first, said they gave her $20.00. Not very professional. Thought she was the owner but, found out she is a host but, acts not that way b/c she seems way too bossy w/the staff. Floors are a dirty mess-not cleaned. Nice view tho. Most of the servers who have been their for years are gone and new unprofessional staff exists. What a shame. Manager has tongue ring and earing hanging out of nose and would not even fill our tea. It's like a waffle house third shift staff from the food, to uncleaned floors. So we went back for dinner and it was the same experience.

Upscale, yet moderately priced (below what one would expect for such flawless service and quality). If you can only eat seafood for one of your meals while in Myrtle Beach, this is the place not to miss!!! My family has been eating here for years. It burned a few years ago (I was a firefighter at the time and helped extinguish the fire) and they built it back better than ever, while maintaining some of it's original decor. If I wanted to entertain visiting dignitaries, this is where I'd bring them! Quiet, attractive atmosphere. 10 out of 10 stars (every time I've ever eaten there!)!

I don't know about you, but I can eat at Outback when I'm home... when I'm on vacation, I want to get a real taste of LOCAL flavor... If I'm on a beach vacation, I want to soak in the sounds and sights of the ocean. I've been coming to the Grand Strand since 1989, and I NEVER miss a lunch or dinner at this place... classic, delicious, dripping with atmosphere... Quintessential Carolina Coastal experience! Don't miss it... save at LEAST one night or one long, leisurely lunch for this place! Oh, the fact that Sea Captain's House is owned and operated by a long time Myrtle Beach family, just adds to the flavor!

This is our favorite place to eat lunch or dinner. We enjoy the great food and views of the ocean. No trip to Myrtle is complete without a Shrimp Salad eaten out on the patio watching everyone on the beach. The grouper specials are my pick at night. Great place.
