A Grand Strand favorite for over 39 years. Built in 1930 as a family beach cottage, then later as the a popular guesthouse called Howard’s Manor, this charming oceanfront restaurant is a legend on the Carolina Coast!
Southern Living Magazine has named the Sea Captain’s House “Best Seafood Restaurant” four years in a row! Over the years, the restaurant has accumulated more awards than any other restaurant on the Grand Strand

Upscale, yet moderately priced (below what one would expect for such flawless service and quality). If you can only eat seafood for one of your meals while in Myrtle Beach, this is the place not to miss!!! My family has been eating here for years. It burned a few years ago (I was a firefighter at the time and helped extinguish the fire) and they built it back better than ever, while maintaining some of it's original decor. If I wanted to entertain visiting dignitaries, this is where I'd bring them! Quiet, attractive atmosphere. 10 out of 10 stars (every time I've ever eaten there!)!

I don't know about you, but I can eat at Outback when I'm home... when I'm on vacation, I want to get a real taste of LOCAL flavor... If I'm on a beach vacation, I want to soak in the sounds and sights of the ocean. I've been coming to the Grand Strand since 1989, and I NEVER miss a lunch or dinner at this place... classic, delicious, dripping with atmosphere... Quintessential Carolina Coastal experience! Don't miss it... save at LEAST one night or one long, leisurely lunch for this place! Oh, the fact that Sea Captain's House is owned and operated by a long time Myrtle Beach family, just adds to the flavor!

This is our favorite place to eat lunch or dinner. We enjoy the great food and views of the ocean. No trip to Myrtle is complete without a Shrimp Salad eaten out on the patio watching everyone on the beach. The grouper specials are my pick at night. Great place.
