This is the only truly upscale shopping destination in the city, and they have everything! From Gucci and Saks to Mignon Faget jewelry, to the world's most fabulous Pottery Barn! They even have live theater and a very very chic movie theater that plays avant garde current films. Window shopping is fun, but it's more fun to bring your wallet and fill a few shopping bags with treasures!

Looking for newest trends? Shops at Canal Place have them! Saks looks great, and has a annual sale in July that is super. Paris Parker has Aveda products, the Kennth Cole has super staff, I love RHINO on the 3rd floor- all New Orleans artist so great local stuff. Even a movie theatre if it's too hot outside for you. The food court isn't the best, but hey you are in the French Quarter so eat outside of Canal Place. Also check out White House Black Market- excellent prices and fab items! Also check out second floor of Banana Republic- that's where all of the sale items are kept! Also Mignon Faget has a store on first level- true New Orleans designer beautiful stuff!

It might surprise you as much as it did me to learn that this is Saks number ONE store in the country! I just went shopping there last week, and I think I understand why - not only is it beautiful and full of everything you ever dreamed of buying, but it's right across the street from Harrah's and is just CRAWLING with celebrities! Fun shopping and people watching!

High dollar shops, but big and very nice. If you've got a big budget, you can find lots of nice stuff here to spend it on...
