I am charmed by a restaurant that has held its own and stayed true to what it is: a place that delivers classic, French dining. You will recognize many of the dishes, but have you seen them on menus recently? Likely not. A true steak tartar, for example (there is no cheating possible, the beef is raw and it has to be the best), classic onion soup oozing melted cheese, a Caesar salad prepared at the table, egg and all. Bananas Foster. The Library is loveably out-of-time and doing things the time consuming, old-fashioned way that reminds you to slow down, have a conversation, hold hands, and really taste that wine sparkling in your glass. Nothing cutting edge or trendy here, but what they offered is classic for a reason: it never goes out of style. Ask for the private room for the ultimate in romance!
