This place has the same food quality and selection as the sit down Hibachi's, except it's less expensive and the wait for your food is minimal. The last time I ate here, I left satisfied.

I eat at Jimmy's Japanese Hibachi probably too much, and I absolutely love it! It's inexpensive and great food. We usually get it delivered, but occasionally eat in. I saw another review that mentioned a long wait there... Sometimes they tell me that it will be a while when they're busy, but that does sound like too long to wait. Maybe lots of deliveries in front of your order or training new people or just an off nite? Anyway, I love it -- it's one of my favorite places.

We waited 50 minutes to get our food here. I had ordered steamed rice to go with mine, and it was dried out and crunchy, like someone had dished it out when I ordered it and let it sit under heat lamp or something for the next 50 minutes. Usually I'm all about this kind of food, but the crappy service and excruciatingly long wait (which we weren't even warned about when we ordered!!!) made this a bad bad bad choice.

I've been around Japanese Teppan/hibachi style for around 15 years, my son has been head chef at a couple of these places, and owned one for awhile before going into managing a chain of the same type restaurants. So I guess you could say I'm an "expert" in what this food is supposed to be like. I stumbled on this restaurant while looking for something different to eat one night at work. It had to be delivered because I couldn't leave to pick it up. I ordered a dinner with three selections and an appetizer. Below is a list of my general impressions: 1. The BBQ shrimp had a wonderful new taste that I had never experienced before- GREAT! The appetizer portion was large enough for four! 10 out of 10 2. The scallops were REAL scallops, not cut skate, which a lot of restaurants try to pass off as real scallops. And there were plenty of them in my dinner (six)! 10 out of 10 3. The chicken was fresh and perfectly cooked, and had excellent flavor. The portion was small, but adequate. 7 out of 10 (because of the small portion) 4. The filet was not filet, it was ordinary steak possibly a mistake? (No pun intended) Not tough, but certainly not as tender as filet should be. And the portion was exceedingly small (five half-bites). It was, however, expertly cooked and tasted great! 6 out of 10 (because of the small portion and incorrect cut of meat) 5. The ginger sauce was AMAZING! FIVE STARS! 10 out of 10 6. The mayonnaise sauce was as good as any I've ever had. Tasty and ingredients in the proper proportions for excellent taste and consistency. 10 out of 10 7. Some of the particles of rice were on the dry side, not quite fresh, like it had been sitting in an open tray for awhile. Also, I don't think it was short-grain Japanese rice, which is customary for this type of cuisine, rather, it had the consistency of ordinary American rice. Japanese rice doesn't fluff well. This rice was fluffy. OK if you like your rice that way, but not true to Teppan style. The flavor was excellent, however. 6 out of 10 8. Delivery speed was excellent for the distance, a few minutes earlier than what I was told on the phone. The delivery person was cordial and polite. 10 out of 10 Would I eat from here again? Probably tomorrow night.... LOL!!! Overall, 8.5 out of 10 stars, yet heads above most other local delivery places. As good as or better than any of the other local takeout restaurants of all types. If you want Japanese delivery, I think this is the only game in town! THUMBS UP!

The food was awesome! Great menu choices. Everything is cooked fresh and it shows in the quality and taste of the food! I had a filet and shrmip meal with rice and veggies. Several friends ate with us and they all thoght it was great. The BBQ shrimp were also really tasty. And their "magic sauce" is killer. Mix it with a little soy sauce and it's perfect on hibachi food. The staff were all friendly. We ate inside the restaurant, but I hear their delivery is fast and fresh, too. Highly recommended! Especially if your in the mood for some quick good food.
