We caught a horse carriage ride at Jackson Square and the driver was extremly courteous and professional... and entertaining. It was $12 pp and $6 for kids I think. It was a half hour tour around the French Quarter and they took us back to our hotel in the Quarter. He told us all about the fires in New Orleans, took us by the oldest buildings and oldest restaurants, the place where they filmed the interview for Interview with a Vampire, gave us the history of several buildings, families and streets. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!
