Seaside is the setting of the Jim Carrey movie The Truman Show. After one visit to Seaside and its surrounding communities you won’t have trouble figuring out why Paramount picked this area to film- everything here looks as though it was created by a set designer. Plan to spend the day in Seaside and neighboring areas shopping and taking in the atmosphere of this quaint beach town. Or stop in for a bit and then continue on to Destin- Seaside is just over half way between Panama City Beach and Destin, so expect about a 30 minute drive from the Pier Park area.
