Enjoy an elegant experience at the biggest of the new Japanese restaurants in Panama City. Busy with a large sushi bar and a large number of hibachi tables.

We had relatives from out of town come up to visit us. They had checked out Mori's on the internet and wanted to eat there. Though we only live about a mile from the Japanese restaurant, we had not visited it. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere very nice. Service was quick and the waitress was courteous and very attendant. The cook was entertaining and prepared all items in excellent fashion. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. I would very much recommend this place. (A#1)

Excellent Food, Spotty Service, 2006-07-06

We had a late dinner here after a long drive. There was a twenty minute wait even though the restaurant was half empty. After we were seated it was another thirty minutes- and two Sapporos- before our hibachi chef arrived. During that time our 'waiter', who appeared to be a manager filling in, made rare appearances. I ordered from the sushi bar and all of the sushi was fresh and creatively assembled. Unlike some hibachi/sushi combination restaurants, I was able to order sushi only from an extensive menu. Fortunately it took almost as long to get my order as it did for the hibachhi chef to arrive. Once the chef was there, he did a flawless 'performance' of all the standard tricks ('volcano', fiery table, egg catching, etc.) and the food was also excellent. Overall this was an excellent dining experience in part spoiled by severe understaffing. My wife noticed a sign out front that they were hiring, so we'll give them another try next year because the food was so good.

Atmosphere and food are awesome! We always eat at the hibachi grill (my daughter's favorite) and it's a great time. We've had a couple very entertaining chefs and one that was not so entertaining, but it was still a good experience. 7 out of 10 stars!
