What a beautiful restaurant! When you first approach it from the street, you have no idea of how gorgeous the dining rooms and courtyard are. The night that I dinner there they had a wedding in the courtyard and what appeared to be some type of corporate event in another room that runs adjacent to the courtyard (I was told that the room was originally stables built in the early 1800's). I brought my family and at first was concerned that the menu had nothing for small children ( 7and 5 years old), but my waiter quickly assured me that the chef would be happy to make them up a fried chicken tender or fried shrimp plate with French fries, they were thrilled. I started with the Crabmeat Broussard's, delightful and then had the Bouillabaisse, I didn’t know that you could fit that much seafood in a bowl! Hubby had the Broussard's salad, with spinach, bacon and mushrooms, the dressing was incredible! For dinner he had the Veal Broussard's loaded with sweet crabmeat. I would have been jealous if my dinner hadn't been so good. The service was great, not pushy or intrusive yet somehow knowing what we wanted without asking. Finished off with tableside Crepes Flambe in a strawberry sauce. I definitely recommend Broussard's and will make it a constant part of my travel plans in New Orleans!
