I was fortunate enough to have lunch with a couple of friends Dave and Axanna yesterday and at their suggestion we lunched at Azur! The restaurant is sparkling clean and has a fresh atmosphere set amongst beautiful greenery both inside and out it was a good respite from the hustle of Duval St. The chef took the time to come out and visit our table and we were lucky enough for him to share the highlights of the summer lunchtime menu. We all three had different entrees and it was outstanding but must tell you, save room for dessert. Azur's Creme Brulee was the best I have ever eaten!

Last day in Key West, my partner and I had lunch at Azur. Everyone who stays on Fleming must walk by this restaurant everyday and this is one restaurant NOT to be missed if you LOVE food and have suddenly realised that Key West restaurants are on the whole, VERY SPECIAL! We only had lunch here but it tops the list after 10 days on this gourmet island! It's cozy, comfortable and very tropical inside and out. The service is casual, friendly and very professional, but it was the vast array of incredibly interesting things to eat on the menu that not only amuzed me, but intrigued me into ordering LOTS of food.And we were both SO gald that we did! Really, it's hard to read the menu descriptions and not want to try everything! Well, we came close and everything was perfectly delicious and for lunch, I would have to say that it was one of the more interesting and wonderfully ecectic menus I've seen in a long time (and I've been around)...beautiful presentation and everything was ever so slightly different but completely satisfying...and YUMMY! We had heard good things about Azur but you never really know until you try it yourself. I would encourage anyone who visits Key West to stop by Azur for lunch or dinner and enjoy a very unique and special experience...and of course it's DE'LISH'US! Seriously...thanks aZUR for a great, great "good-bye," last day on the island lunch. Cannot wait to come back next time!!

The thing about Azur is, it elevates your life while you're there. The garden patio is lovely. In the day, it's soothing. In the evening, it's romantic and intimate. The owners, Drew and Michael, are deeply passionate, connected, wise, food-loving souls. They have no airs about them: it's just about eating well and cooking food however it takes to maximize its celebration. The charred octopus with lemon zest is stunning, the hamachi carpaccio is exquisite, the gnocchi so good it makes me crazy, and pretty much anything they do with mushrooms, Moroccan flavors, or slow-roasting, you can guarantee will have a huge impact. I love this restaurant dearly, and have albums worth of memorable meals, lunch and dinner, to flip through in my mind.

Drew and Michael have created a gem at Azur. Hear me now - believe me later, this will become one of those enduring Key West classics that draw people back decade after decade. BEAUTIFUL food, BEAUTIFUL wine... BEAUTIFUL setting... BEAUTIFUL, warm, expert service. Sigh. I love it.
