Seriously, without a doubt... there were 8 of us - celebrating my sister inlaw's birthday. All of us have been to Paris, Rome, New York, San Francisco - we have all spent WAY too much money on thousands of meals and millions of bottles of wine. We are food snobs. We are critical. We are hard to please. We were BLOWN AWAY... every detail, every bite, every sip of every course of every meal - PERFECT. Hat's off, Commander's! You have pulled it off! Welcome to Destin!

I'll never forget my first meal at Commander's in New Orleans (where the walls actually DO talk). But I can honestly say, I won't forget my first meal at the Destin location, either. It really is the full Commander's experience reinterpreted for the Emerald Coast. Chef Danny Trace is a master, worthy of carrying the torch. His fish dishes were perfect, his sauces marvelous, and the best thing I can say is that I kept wanting more and more. Every ingredient shines so brightly it becomes your new favorite food. There is a reason Commander's is historically unmatched, and you will find it in Destin, as you do in New Orleans.
