This is one of the best French Inspired restaurants I've been to. The Lobster Ravioli and quail lolipops are amazing! If you have time after your meal, ask for a tour of the kitchen. They don't advertise it, but if you ask they will give you a tour. It is huge and very cool in action!!

Last night's dinner at Joel was exceptional. Better than I'd ever imagined it could be. Truly one of the best in Atlanta. Excellent food. Excellent service. Our guests were very impressed!

I first dined here at the end of a dining tour of Atlanta, and it was one of those huge awakenings, a meal I'll never forget. Fresh tomato sorbet in a tomato consumme? Both flawless, both reinventions of the tomato. Pasta that defies description: there is no bite like this, even at top Italian restaurants. Sheets of lasagna pressed around pureed Jerusalem artichoke, bathed in a light broth, or tiny ravioletti filled with spinach and ricotta...try a pasta dish, you'll be in wonder. His fish is only the best fish in the world, all wild, all line caught in small batches. His sauces are miracles, his meats from small farms. And do not, do not skip dessert. A pavlova with tropical fruit. Tarts with homemade sorbets and ice creams (like the pastas, he's a genius in this field, and his frozen works absolutely astonish.) Excellent wine list, beautiful environment. Get it? I love this place.
