Superior view, and great service, but soggy fried lobster. There were flies on us (inside),and an unpleasant chemical smell. With the 25% off for dining before 6pm, our bill for 2 was $75. Never again.

I have eaten at Beach Walk Cafe many times on my trips through Destin for business. Lunch is always a good thing with their view. Food has been really great lately at dinner, but my service never matches the food. Seems to be on a downward spiral and the young staff will hit you up for every penny they can get you to spend. Prices are high, but worth it for the cuisine. UPDATE 2-2-06 went in for dinner this evening and things were so bad, i had to come back to the site to rereview it. My server wasted half a bottle of wine when he spilled it on the table trying to pour it. He said it would be taken care of, and brought me a new one. They both were on the bill at the end. In addition, the idiot brought me soup in a bowl that was so hot, the soup had scorched to the bowl, and the bowl was sloshed all over the table when he went to set it down. That too was on the bill!

With the temperatures being cool, I tried this lovely, unusual soup. I can not remember the name, but it was a tomato and shrimp soup... Creative and Oh,my God it was great! Must Try, my Service has always be Great!

I spend several weeks a year in Destin and this was the first time that I have eaten at Beachwalk. Having heard great things about it, we gave it a try. 1) Bad Service - not up to the prices that they charge 2) Tough Steaks - supposed to be "Prime" but I doubt it 3) Cheap Glasses and Silverware Would not go again and would not suggest that anyone else go either - unless you just want to see the view of the ocean.

Nice atmosphere right on the beach. The food was very good and well presented. The portions were disappointingly small. This resteruant is VERY expensive and not a place to bring your kids unless you have money to burn.

If the name Beach Walk Cafe makes you think of a sandwich shop in some t-shirt shop mini-mall, think again. Owner/Chef Tim Creehan takes a hands on approach, and in a world of unique cuisine, his is actually unique. While fine dining has become assembly line in so many places, the room's airy feel while maintaining the small, limited seating restauraint without any cramped feel is a work of art. Dining during during daylight hours (and especially during sunset provides the view that most of us travel to the Emerald Coast for. But even dining after dark (especially during winter months) leaves nothing lacking in terms of ambiance. This place is nice, but expect to pay. While prices are in line with similar fine dining establishments, Beach Walk Cafe doesn't attact the coupon crowd, or the family lookin got feed five for under $20. And it shouldn't. If you are only splurging once or twice for that "perfect dinner" in the Destin area, this is it. Even worth the drive over from Panama City Beach.
