Don't let the roadside view of this establishment scare you away. It might not be shiny like a lot of the tourist traps in Destin, but it sure is good! Gilligan's has GREAT seafood! My favorite thing to get is the Seafood platter, which comes with fried shrimp (which is only lightly fried in good breading), a crab cake (that is just delicious), fried catfish (I'm not much for fish, but I really liked this!) and fried oysters (which I substitute for more fried shrip). This last visit I tried something new, stuffed, bacon-wrapped shrimp..MMMM!! SO GOOD! You can't beat their all you can eat, mix and match popcorn shrimp/fried catfish for only $11.99! They also have a nice room out on the back that is on the water. We have made this restaurant a tradition every time we visit Destin!
