The Porter and Stout are outstanding. The food is great and the price is very good for all you get. If you visit during the summer season be prepared for a wait during dinner hours. The staff is well trained and serve you well.

I really can't say enough good things about McGuire's. The inside of the place is unique to put it mildly. The ceiling is covered with dollar bills that people have written messages on. When I was in there last week the waiter said there was well over a million dollars on the ceiling. The bar is covered in 'donated' bras. There are moose heads, and funny plaques, the men’s/ladies room doors basically have the signs reversed (unless you read closely). But what sets this restaurant apart is the food and the beer. The food is simply amazing, unbelievable portions, modest prices, and a funny and capable staff make this a place to visit over and over. My favorites are Corned beef and cabbage (an entire half a head), the 19 cent bean soup, and the liverwurst sandwich (with huge cuts of onion). The house brewed beers are not only stout in name, but in practice and have a flavor all their own. I live in Panama City and several times per year we make our pilgrimages to McGuire's and never go away dissatisfied...

This place is so good and it is not that expensive. I have never ate at a place like this before. Their steaks are wonderful, and the loaded baked potatos are even better. My family liked this place so much that we ate at it twice in one week.

A really cool atmosphere. The one in Destin now has a wine shop to go get a bottle of wine and pay retail price and not have a corkage fee, which I think (as a giant fan of wine) is very cool. I just wish their food was better! The steaks are supposed to be CBA, but the one I had was awful, and the one they replaced it with was even worse. The service was also very weak, with in one visit the server being fired (or sent home) mid-service, a second where the server forgot our appetizer and then left it on the bill, and then the other visit where my steaks were destroyed! Fortunately, the burgers are usually very good. It has the pub feel, the family is welcome, and even has the club scene later. Maybe I have just had bad luck there?

Apparently so, and pretty darn well at that. I meet my folks from Pensacola at the Destin McGuire's a couple of times a year. Great service, great food, every time. Nice selection of Microbrews as well. I'm a long time fan of the one in P'cola. This one is certainly a chip of the Ole Blarney Stone.

McGuire's is a traditional place to eat whe we visit Destin. The service and food has always been excellent. The Shepherd's Pie, Corned Beef and Cabbage, and hamburgers are wonderful. My children order the Shepherd's Pie without the vegetables and I love the Corned Beef and Cabbage. The corned beef is sliced and laid over a a sizable amount of cabbage. The sauce for this meal is wonderful! I would definitely recommend this meal if you like cabbage. The decor is very interesting and includes thousands of dollar bills hanging from the ceiling, a variety of pictures on the walls, and quite a lot of Irish humor. For the daring, there is a $100.00 hamburger you can order, although I have never seen it ordered by anyone during my visits. Meal prices are about the price you would pay for any good meal in Destin. A small gift shop is located in the building and carries tee shirts and other items that might interest you.

It took until last year to talk my wife into eating here-she envisioned a bar environment and me running amok among the microbrews. We were both pleasantly surprised how family friendly it was. This enabled me to easily talk my wife into a return trip. Still a wide variety of food choices. Once again our meal was delicious and a good value. This time we had Boullabaise(sp?), fish and chips and child's pizza. Food was fresh and about twice the portion served in many Destin eateries. Our friendly server made good food and beer suggestions and unlike some places didn't recommend the most expensive entrees. She also looked authentically Irish. The view from the outdoor patio has been compromised this year by one of those giant concrete condo monoliths. Don't let me forget to mention the beer! This year I tried the Hefe and the recommended Red Ale and both were excellent, the Hefe is a seasonal microbrew. Overall, a great value with plenty to recommend it. We'll be back again. My brother took his family there on my recommendation and also liked it.

This was the first time we have been to McGuire's and we loved everything about it. The Senate bean soup was very good. The potato salad was probably the best we have ever tasted and the homemade potato chips were great also. We had a Pastrami sandwich and a Ruben sandwich. The meat in both was undescribable. It just melts in your mouth. Our waiter was also perfect. Roberto made it seem like we were his only customers, when in fact he had many. We give it ten stars and we are going again before we leave for home.

I love this place!! Everytime we go to Destin, we HAVE to eat at McGuire's. The've got the best hamburgers with a ton of toppings you can choose ranging from pizza to taco. Plus, they brew their own beer (sorry...IRISH ALE) and root beer for the kids. Not to mention their great service and prices. And don't miss their St. Patrick's Day celebration!!
