Visited Staff's last night for the 1st and, I promise you, last time. The "D Team" must have been working the kitchen because it certainly does not live up the hype & praise of previous comments. Our meal was by far the worst that I have ever experienced for the tune of $85 for a family of 3. We sampled, because trust me--it was all barely edible, the Fried Crab Claws, Broiled Scallops & Shrimp, Crab Stuffing, & Fried Oysters. All borderline disgusting. Overly seasoned--piece of advise, lay off the Old Bay. Anything fried was overly so, overbreaded & left in the fryer for way, way too long. Dessert was forgetable. My chocolate pie was straight up Jello Pudding. I have never been so thoroughly disgusted with a meal or myself--for making the call to dine at Staff's. Most certainly $85 & 2 hours that I would love to have back. All the way home to Navarre I kept glancing at the roadside eateries thinking, "We could have gone there." A fish fillet sandwich from McDonald's would have been a better bet for both taste & cost.

When we come down to the Emerald Eoast we have to drive to Ft. Walton and eat at Staff's. Owned by the same family since the 20's, this is a part of Florida history. The seafood is fresh from the boats. The bread is homemade. The salad dressings are made from family recipes. This is a great place for a special meal.
