915's home is a gorgeous, gingerbread mansion: a gem. In many places, historic site dining can mean historic-style food (as in, out of date), but 915 is about as up-to-the-minute as contemporary dining gets. They're representing all the new waves in dining, from updated comfort and bistro food (roasted chicken, steak frites) to high protein/no carb (tuna dome over Dungeness crab) to Spanish tapas to the "small plate" rage determined by people who like a variety of flavors, don't like commiting to one huge entree with sides, and enjoy sipping different wine pairings to different meals. Everything here is very fresh, largely organic, very ingredient-oriented. They do their specials according to what tempting ingredients they can get their hands on, so you just never know what you'll find (hand-harvested scallops, house-made paté, fresh anchovies). Great place for tasting and sharing and lingering until late at night.

Tuna Dome and Soul Mama Seafood, 2005-02-24

Last night, a group of us spent a long and lovely evening lingering on the front porch of this beautiful old conch home. 915 is not only a beautiful restaurant, the food is delicious!!! Tapas offerings include one of the most delicious sashimi tuna dishes I have ever had... the Tuna Dome. As an entree, the Soul Mama Seafood is refreshing and flavorful - a favorite with three out of four at our table! Don't miss 915. It's a great combination of "Old Key West Charm" and clean-cool-crisp-cutting edge cuisine. (Great wine list, too - with affordable boutique wines and classic indulgences)
