Ambrosia, food of the Gods. Such a gorgeous place with huge white mobiles gently drifting overhead. Everything was just perfect, but my favorite is the gently deep fried Tofu Agadashi. Like a cloud of flavor in your month.

Best Sushi on Key West. Try the Playmate Roll. Hands down better than other sushi spots.

You might think you're lost, but you're in a quiet, residential neighborhood where the corner restaurant happens to be SUSHI. Sushi in Key West is food for the people: boat captains, boat mates, housekeepers and every level of restaurant staff go for sushi whenever they can. Anyone who likes their seafood bare and simple and pure ducks into Ambrosia whenever they can. Even cooks and restauranteurs generally head for this place on their available nights: it's like a way to clean one's palate. You sit at the bar and watch Masa, owner and sushi master, solemnly and swiftly cutting his fish. He looks serious, yes, but he always likes to stick a shrimp head on the plate for decoration. It's a small room, has one tatami table, and the whole feeling there is very soothing and comforting. Get away from it all, noise and fussy food, eat sushi at Ambrosia.
