Key West Classic right next to Mallory Square! Awesome place for an authentic Cuban Mojito. Family owned and operated business and it sure shows. We went there after the Sunset and took some impromtpu salsa dancing lessons on courtyard! My brother was visiting from Boston and he loved the real Key West feel of it. I liked the Ropa Viejo "Old Clothes" as the entree whenever we go there. Also save room for the "Flan" I was told by our waiter it is from a recipe handed down from the owners grandmother. It was fantastic.

El Meson de Pepe is perfectly located at Mallory Square. The authentic Cuba food is full of flavor and the Mojitos are some of the best on the island! Dining outside if you can so you can people watch and listen to the live band that is usually playing. If you feel compelled, get up and dance! The inside is artistically decorated with "A Walk in Cuba" that is a long path painted with Cuban scenes that leads you from the restaurant into the gift shop and cigar room. Highly recommended!!

We enjoyed a late dinner here with patio dining and outstanding "live" music. Service was good and we even enjoyed meeting and talking with other visitors. Fun to dance and watch the people. Everyone was having a great time.
