Five Brothers Grocery

Some people might think it's funny to put a grocery store in a Dining Section of a website, but Five Brothers is FAMOUS for their Cuban Breakfast sandwiches and thick, luscious Cuban Coffees. There is a line wrapped 'round the corner at lunchtime for their hot, made-to-order sandwiches. You couldn't get a better feel for what it's like to "live like a local," than a sidewalk breakfast at Five Brothers.

Five Brothers really is a small convenience store but they are famous for their cuban coffee and sandwiches to go. Regular stop for me as a local to grab a quick/made to order sandwich. Family owned and operated I believe for three generations on the Island. Easy to bike to slap in the middle of Old Town.

Everyone should have a 5 Brothers Grocery in their hometown...so much better than a Starbucks in every way! The coffee is better, the atmosphere sublime and you'll run into every Key West character there as everyone either starts their day there, or eats lunch there (talk about delicious homemade Cuban food) or runs there at the end of the day for a little "boost" or "bucci" as it's called. What fun it is to see that same family behind the counter aqnd begin every day of every vacation with them. It's just a little gem of a place and if you happen to need ANYTHING, just ask-you'll be surprised at all the stuff that is stuffed into that tiny store and truthfully, I'll be surprised if they don't have exactly what you need. A hammer? Nails? Pots & pans or coffee and so much more! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE me some 5 Brothers!

Reminded me of the deli's in NYC. Go here after a night out, order a breakfast sandwich and cuban coffee(the colada will do the trick). Friendly people, felt comfortable being there.
