Site of MTV’s first Spring Break broadcast... this is the club that started it all! A legendary giant in the history of rock! For over 25 years, Spinnaker’s Rock Arena has hosted top name concerts in one of the world’s most awesome beachfront amphitheaters. From Collective Soul to Jimmy Buffett. They’ve all played Spinnaker. The huge club sprawls along the beach... during the day, there are volleyball games and waverunners on the beach, beautiful bodies basking in the sun on the multi-level tanning decks overlooking the sparkling beachfront pool. At night, Spinnaker throbs with excitement... bars inside and out, two live band stages, jam-packed dance floors, massive crowds, killer concerts and even a few little hideaway bars when you want to take a breather from the dance floor. You won’t find another club like this anywhere else in the world!

For the best burger on the beach, check out Paradise Grill at Spinnaker. Now, some of you may have read a post I wrote giving rave reviews of the burger at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville- and they are wonderful- but that was for the turkey burger (that’s all I can vouch for) but at Spinnaker I would never dream of substituting a turkey patty for the real thing. A few years ago I didn’t really care for hamburgers- then I had the Paradise Burger at Spinnaker, now it’s the burger I crave. It doesn’t hurt that this burger basket is served with a side of crispy beer battered fries and a beautiful view of the beach.

I ended up going to Spinnaker Beach Club this year for the dinner and dance. If this is what i have to look forward to this year for the season I can't wait. The food was amazing. After the dinner the dance party begins and the entertainment was out of this world. The band that was on the rock stage was out of this world. Also checked out the Groove Room and the all new VIP room. I talked with the bartender in the VIP room for a few mins and the room looks great and the bartender said there was more to come and would be done for the begin of the season so cant wait to see it. They also added a DJ into the VIP that was playing house and breaks which made it very nice to go into and talk with friends. The DJ in the Groove Room mixed it up all night and kept the floor packed all night. Again, I can't wait till this season when they go 100%. Will definitely be there every weekend.

WOW! The New Years Eve dinner we had at the Paradise Grill was out of this world. The food was great and the service was great. I hope this is an indication of what we will see in the Grill this season. I grew up here in PCB and Spinnaker is not the same place it used to be.. It grew up too!! They have really stepped up the menu and the decor. The new VIP Room was not quite done yet but they said it would be done by their Re-Opening party on Feb 20th. If you are in the 18-21 age bracket you may want to go to LaVela, but if you are an adult with adult tastes Spinnaker is the place to be....still....after 30 years!!!! I travel to Miami and Atlanta quite often and Spinnaker rivals any place I have been. Not many clubs are lucky enough to have the Gulf Of Mexico as a backdrop!

Spinnakers is not just a night club! Its actually a bustling restaurant in the daylight hours. Not only to they have a menu offering a variety of delicious and appatising surf and turf entrees, but they make one mean margarita too! In fact, they are prepared to make you whatever adult beverage you would like. You can have a nice lunch out on the pool deck and bask in the sun, or take it inside where the cool A/C will refresh you enough for some more fun in the sun. This is my favorite nightclub and place to eat when i visit the beaches of panama city. I give spinnakers 5 of 5 stars and recommend that everyone give it a try.

Maybe the city planners had the idea of putting one night club where teenagers could go called Club La Vela, and another one called Spinnaker that their parents could go to and keep tabs on their kids since the two places are right next to one another. The entrances are less than 100 feet from one another. I've never eaten at Spinnaker, nor do I ever plan on it because I remember all the wild things people have done on those tables that people sit & dine. Spinnaker is a bit cheaper but the service is just as slow and callous. Don't expect a drink in under 5 minutes from anyone behind the bar and in some cases one side of the bar will be avoided entirely. I remember at times holding $20 bills out and waving them and no service. One time a bartender even flirted with some woman not drinking anything for a few minutes while he was 2 deep! Despite that its a little better than service at La Vela. Expect to get spillage from people who had a bad experience at La Vela that night but don't want to go home. Theres a dance floor that can be extended into other areas but that only happens in the summer and spring break. A lot of parts are closed off and Spinnaker doesn't partition their club thematically. The music isn't overwhelming and you can make out melodies on the dance floor whereas La Vela you can only hear thumping bass most of the time. People in general are more cordial than people at other clubs. Most go to Spinnaker to relax and relieve some stress by spending a few songs on the dance floor. You don't get the aggressive morons looking to hook up and the environment there is generally more laid back. If you're over 25 you should have a decent time but if you're looking something akin to south beach or trendy steer clear. The place might have an ounce of class to it but not one bit more.

The Paradise Grill has got great food at a good price. I enjoyed the massive burger that they serve. It was delicious. I even had some left over, which is rare for me. The view is incredible. You're right on the beach. There is a 30 ft. high waterfall that cascades down one side of the building. This mixed with the sound of the gulf made for a very relaxing meal.

PC trip June 08 Our family enjoyed the great atmosphere at Spinnaker's. The table overlooked the beach and the playground was a good touch for our children. They played while we were waiting on our food. The food was great (try the grouper sandwich) and portions were big. Prices were also reasonable and staff was very friendly. We recommend going around sunset or just before because you might get a glimpse of the Sea Screamer while it is shooting its cannon (kids loved that also) plus the sunset was gorgeous. Definately recommend Spinnakers.

Spinnaker's Paradise Grill is a very wise stop for those looking for a juicy hamburger made multiple ways. Aside from the excellent Smoked Tuna Dip (courtesy of Cardena's Seafood Market), the Paradise, Hawaiian, Hobie Cat (chili and peppers), BBQ, Fiesta (guacamole and salsa), and Black & Bleu Burgers are all good choices for the red meat lover.

The "World Famous Beachclub" is just that... a club... Their evening atmosphere is terrific, and I always look forward to an evening out with friends there. Aside from the terrific view, the daytime restaurant seems to be an after thought. I recently tried lunch at Spinnaker for the first time and was a little dissapointed. It's got an ok menu with a little bit of everything on it, I myself had the server's suggestion, the fried grouper sandwich with a "basket of fries" (chosen as my one side off their sides menu)... The fish filet itself was nearly burnt to a crisp (or maybe they hadn't changed the oil in the fryer recently), and only about a dozen fries on the side of the sandwich. Hey, at least the roll was fresh. They weren't that busy, but I kept wondering where our server had walked off to- once I had to walk over to their beverage machines to refill my soda myself since she was nowhere in site. The seating also leaves something to be desired- hard wood benches that are built into the floor. I guess you could call it "oceany"... or wait, "gulfy". Could have just been a bad visit, I know these people have been around forever, and there's probably a good reason they have... but personally, I think I'm going to stick to visiting Spinnaker at night.

This place has somthing for everone. Also good food at good prices. Check out the steps to the beach for a great place for a picture of friends or family. You can stand on the step that best matches the sunset view.

They will need to improve to stay in business. They seemed a little indifferent when they seated us, we were amazed when we got a great table at 7:00 pm. I guess, most people were smart enough not to come here. We waited over 30 minutes after being seated without any attention, even though there were waitstaff around us, they were not busy. We finally left, we figured they did not want our business. We walked passed several employees, no one said a word: good bye, thank you, anything. We went to Schooner's and had a great meal with great service.

Love the hamburgers and the view but it needs a facelift. It smells like mildew if you eat inside.

I grew up in PCB, and I spent my young adult years partying at Spinnaker. Now that I'm a recently new member of the AARP (oh, lordy), I enjoy Spinnaker more than ever. Sparky and his crew do a GREAT job of serving up great food at low prices ... "Takes Two Hands To Hold Em Cheeseburgers" are amazing and juicy and delicious... so are the BBQ ribs and chicken. It's one of the last places left on the beach, so you can grab a waterfront table and soak in the salty air, watch the waves roll in, and really relax.

This place is great. You have basically have 2 clubs in one with an inside R&B/Rap/Club music going w/ a DJ and outside there is a live (usually) rock/alternative band. It's great.

This is one of the most underrated restaurants on the beach! Spinnaker is well-known for their nightclub, but the food at Paradise Grill is outstanding! Awesome ribs and BBQ. Fresh seafood. And a HUGE menu. It takes an hour just to rewad the menu and decide what you want. Prices are great and the view at sunset is spectacular. Highly recommended!

I have been going to PCB for decades and Spinnaker has become my favorite place to eat. The huge cheeseburgers are truly the best on the beach! Last year, I stayed for a week ate there at least four times. Plus, the prices are resonable! Give Spinnaker a try, you won't regret it!
