If you want to really get a "feel" for Island living you need to hit Kelly's. It is in the historic home of the original Pan American Airways but we dined outside. Pretty romantic. They had some great local musician and we got great service. We went at night to eat but the next day we walked by it was blistering hot on the sidewalk so we decided to pop in for a cocktail to cool off under the tree canopy. Didn't want to leave.

ON 3/26/05 , I and a guest had dinner at this restaurant, I have eaten here many times in the past, but on this particular evening we had the misfortune of having an arrogant waiter who misread the night's specials and subsequently, when this was brought to his attention, became indignant, with posturing behaviors of placing his hands on his hips and accused me of creating a problem. I asked for the manager, and instead another wait staff person arrived, I again requested the manager. The manager in turn was of no help and refused to offer any resolution and was totally intransigent in his attitude as well. I have been to Key West many times and have eaten in many restaurants, and I found the attitudes of the waiter and that of the manager to be totally rude in their disregard for the customer. If you want good food and fine service, there are plenty of restaurants in Key West that can offer you more in food quality and service. If you have a problem at Kelly's don't expect to be satisfied with the outcome.
