The perfect Key West neighborhood restaurant, stubbornly maintaining its insistence on simplicity. They refuse to be complicated in any way. The seafood is fresh as it can be. The servers are bright and young and funny and uncomplicated. There's a line out the door six nights a week. Truly one of the hottest tables on the island. Tiny. Delicious. Unforgettable.

We were there with another couple in early January. We had reservations. No parking to be found. First, it doesn't have a full bar - just wine. Then, there is the lack of ambiance. It's a concrete room with metal tables. Service was ok - prompt and friendly enough. Now, though comes the meat of the review: The food was bland. The salad (goat cheese and red pepper) had no red pepper and no discernible goat cheese. The 'featured' dish, which was a 'glazed cobia' had no glaze, was dry, flavorless, and the veggies that came with it were the same. The dessert was not good either. THEN, after spending around $400 for the meal, the tackiest thing I've ever seen happened - the manager came out and ASKED us to leave 10 minutes after the check was paid. It appears they OVERBOOKED so of course, our expenditure meant nothing in comparison to their greed. In my 56 years, I've NEVER been asked to leave a restaurant immediately after paying a check - and certainly one would expect more hospitality than this. The evening was ruined. The food was second class. The management was greedy and rude. NEVER EVER go there, people.
