Don't be fooled by the old reviews. I saw them and still went to diner and it was the best place I have been to in a long time. no waiting for a table, food is a great New Orleans style and the wait staff was on top of our every needs. Will be going back. Even picked up a Calypso's T-shirt.

Great place!!! Sports bar has 10+ big screen tv's with great service. During games, always have drink specials. Highly recommend the grouper sandwich.

Went to Calypso Cafe in June and had the worst service. The server looked lost and never appologized for our food coming an hour after we ordered it. Our 3 small children were not happy!!!

The Calypso is a fine tourist hot-spot for those staying on the west end of the beach, but the food and atmosphere are very niche and don't offer much to the discerning diner. One of the few places on the beach where crawfish is a specialty, but one specialty does not a well-rounded menu make.

Our family has been vacationing in PCB for many years and we recently happened upon Calypso Beach Cafe! What a find!! Great food, service, price point and topped off by incredible live music on the back porch. We highly recommend you try this place.

They seem to hire only distracted, insolent and incompetent servers. A party of four can wait 60 minutes -- and more -- for their food to appear. Avoid this eatery. There are great places to eat in PCB that cost no more than Calypso's and prove exceptional food and flawless service.

7 of us ate there for dinner on 5-14.our orders were not correct.they didnt have half the food we ordered but it took our server more than 20 min.to tell us they were out of this or that(she blamed everything on a new cook).my wife ordered ribs but they forgot to cook them.when they finally brought her food(10 minutes after everybody elses) it was crab legs instead of ribs not exactly what she ordered.after we were finished we had to wait 15 more mins.after paying for our change even though the place was empty and the only reason we got it then was the manager came and asked how our food was.after i told him of our bad experience and waiting on our change he did offer a "couple"of free appetisers if we would come back.i told him no thanks.worst meal on an otherwise good vacation

My fiance and I chose to eat here after a long day of rest and relaxation in the sun! It was a wonderful experience! The food was awesome...and the live entertainment on the patio great! The only drawback I saw was the alcohol seemed a bit weak...and the drink sizes were small compared to other places. All and all, though...a great place to stop and relax!

This is my #1 restaurant to go to at this time. been to a lot and this has been #1 last couple years. Really like the food and atmosphere plus it is affordable and the kids like it as well.
