I'm from ma. and a very good friend took me to Capt. Andersons for dinner. The both times that I was taken there by my very good friend, A.I., it was fantastic, both in veiws and the food. I hope to get down there soon. Chris Liatsis

Not worth the money. Staff was great. A neat spot but the food was terrible. All meals were cold and not very tasty. Way over-priced.

I have been a resident of Panama City Beach for 15 years. I have sampled dinners from many different restaurants throughout. Capt. Anderson's is by far the best restaurant on the beach. The appetizers, the salads, the entrees, everything right down their deserts are mouth watering delicious. The presentation is great and the service staff is amazing. You would think at a restaurant like this that getting all dressed up would be required but this is the beach and in keeping with the relaxed atmosphere of the beach, dress is casual. Not only can you enjoy the freshest seafood imaginable but you can also watch as the boats unload their catch of the day right onto the docks. There is plenty of history on the walls and throughout Capt. A's showing how they've grown over the years. There is also a gift shop with a bakery just in case you would like to take home a larger portion of the delectable deserts that they have to offer. Since Capt. A's is so popular and usually has a long wait these things will help the time go by faster.

Having dined at Captain Anderson's multiple times over the past 2 decades, I feel confident in saying that sampling the freshly prepared seafood, wine list, and Greek-inspired specialties are an absolutely essential component of any Panama City Beach vacation. The dining room can become quite crowded during peak hours (6pm to 8pm), and early or late dining is recommended. Some must-try items include Johnny's Special Greek Salad, the She-Crab soup, the Nicaraguan-cut Churrasco Steak, and the array of charcoal broiled fish (Whole Pompano, Whole Snapper, Whole Flounder and Filet of Amberjack.

This restaurant is way over-rated. It's crowded, service is average and the food isn't even that great. Not impressed. Nonetheless, it's still good; just would not pay the higher prices for the average meal.

As a local my family and I mourn the few months that Captain Anderson's closes its doors during the off season. We are hard pressed to find seafood as finely prepared and tasty as we do at Captain Anderson's anywhere else in the Central Panhandle of Florida, and frequent this fabulous restaurant as often as we can. From their famous Grilled Bay Shrimp to their Charasco Steak, the succulent Stuffed Grouper to the tasty red snapper, a body can't go wrong if they visit Captain Anderson's for a fine meal. It is a must for any vacationer.

One of the staples of Panama City (and the southern US) fine dining, Captain Anderson's is a restaurant you should NOT miss. Is is located dockside on Grand Lagoon it offers great views and you can even watch the fishing fleet unload at the end of the day. The menu is varied, and the owner is meticulous when it comes to quality so each and every dining experience is perfect. If you come during the summer be prepared for a wait, as it has been around for 40 years and everyone to visits Panama City stops by; some come here just to sample the Capt. Anderson's fare. The grouper marguerey is superb, but my personal favorite is the melt in your mouth Churrosco steak. Bring a few coins it's easy to drop a few hundred on a dinner for 3-4, but believe me it's worth it!

This was the first time we tried Captain Anderson's in the 15 years we have been coming down. We were not disappointed!! It was worth the wait. The prices are only a few dollars higher than others and the food some of the best. We will certainly be back.

As a born and bred local, I know if Seafood is fresh and properly prepared. I remember my parents taking me to Captain Anderson's when I was a young kid. Years later, it is still the finest seafood available in Panama City. My wife and I go every year on our anniversary, it is now a tradition 15 years old. Here's the bottom line, I have NEVER had a bad meal at Captain Anderson's. Period. I could list everything that is good but they've already done that, it's called the menu.

We visited Capt. Anderson's on our vacation because of the great reviews it got. I was very disappointed. The food was not awful, but it wasn't wonderful either. The side dishes (bread, vegetables, salads etc. were bland and ordinary for the prices we paid ($125 for 3 people). My son and I had the stuffed lobster (Florida lobster) it was dried out from overcooking, and the stuffing was greasy. My other son had the shrimp scampi which he said was great. Also the seating was something that was not comfortable. There were too many tables crammed into the dining rooms, and not enough room for the waitress to pass by you without brushing against you. These tables (like the one we sat at) were supposed to accomodate 4 people, but were so small that we barely had room for the three of us and all of the plates and glasses.

This is a wonderful restaurant. We had dinner there in early 2006 and look forward to the opening in 2007. The food and service is excellent. It is not inexpensive, but the value is outstanding!

Go here early in your vacation, you will probably want to have time to go back. Very good menu, great food, spectacular service. The cost is a couple $ higher than the average PCB place, but very well worth it. We had grilled, stuffed shrimp and fried shrimp, scallops and grouper, all were the best we had in PCB. We loved it, we give it 11 stars.

We have been eating here for over 20 years and this is consistently the best meal we eat every vacation. The Capt. Andersons Famous Shrimp is excellent. The grilled fish is aways very good and fresh. The waitresses are very professional. They have enlarged again closing in the open air bar they used to have so the wait isn't quite as long as it used to be. Can't wait to eat here again.

This is a restaurant worth going to. I think it appeals to an older crowd. The food is very good but I would not rate it as excellent. I love the shop that is connected to the restaurant. The food is very good and so is the service. It can get loud and crowded so try to go early. They do not take reservations. It is nice to take a walk after dinner and look at all the fishing boats lined up behind the restaurant. Buy a dessert to go at the shop, they are expensive but very good.

You know if every generation and then some is waiting for a table without a peep...actually enjoying the wait...that you're in one of those restaurants that is truly a landmark. The service here is beyond experienced; they are the masters. Friendly and flawless, casual and yet detail-oriented. you just want to know them. Go for something an experienced person would order (your favorite aunt, your opinionated grandmother), because Cap't Anderson's is all about experience, and nothing is on this menu without standing the test of time and opinion. Stuffed fish is NOT out of fashion; it's the way. Go for all the courses and get a taste of what fine dining in a timeless, enduring place tastes like.

I've lived in Panama City for 50 years - I've been eating at Capt. Anderson's since it opened about 38 years ago, and I have NEVER had a bad meal - the service is awesome, the Patronis family is always there to make sure that, if something DOES go wrong, they can fix it! My favorite meal: Tomato Greek Salad, Scamp Imperial and a yummy bottle of Chassagne Montrachet (they have an award-winning wine cellar, too!)

These dishes are our favorites: She-crab soup (the BEST ANYWHERE!) Churrasco Steak Scamp Imprerial Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the experience. This is one of the first places we send people to when they visit PCB. Get there early to avoid waiting for a table.

Good food but a little expensive. We eat everywhere and I would prefer to spend this much at Breakers. We do go here every year, just do not eat as good as at other places. They still have the best French Salad dressing.
