A Mid-City landmark since 1947, is only minutes from the French Quarter and Central Business District. The aroma is unmistakable as you walk in the door of the neighborhood bar and restaurant. This family operated restaurant is treasured by locals for its recipes of down-home Louisiana, Cajun, authentic Italian and seafood dishes. This is a place where locals of all descriptions, taxi drivers, businessmen on their lunch hour to tourists and conventioners, all come to try some real New Orleans/Italian hospitality.

Location: Corner of Barracks St. And French Market Pl. Right behind the Old U.S Mint.
Wrapping a corner near the French Market, this LPK feels hip but welcoming. Consignment art and bottles of herbed olive oil brighten the dark interior. French Quarter residents and the occasional tourist crowd the dining room, though the atmosphere remains surprisingly low-key.

artinique Bistro is best known for its brick-enclosed courtyard that allows you to eat under the trees with small fountains and flowers all around. Many enjoy the three course, fixed price menu that is based on an entree of fresh fish or you can choose for yourself from a listing of seafood, pork, or lamb. A child's plate is available.
