Bio: Julie B.
You could say I have always wanted to be in the spotlight.
At the age of three I thought that I was the dancing queen at all the
birthday parties back home in New York. My mom said that I was always
"special"? Hmm! She decided to send me to the Queens Dance Academy
because it's all I ever wanted to do, and since I slouched all the time,
she thought that it would help my posture.
Needless to say I still slouch to this day except when I am dancing. I started
dancing school when I was eight. I loved it and couldn't get enough. I always
wanted to be the best so I practiced all the time. I made it to the front
a few times but being short helped because the short ones would always go
in front of everyone else. The dancing lasted for two years and I decided
that I wanted to play every sport possible. You could say that I was somewhat
of a "tom boy". I played soccer, basketball, softball, and cheered
for the next six years.
However dancing has always been in my heart and soul and while in high school
I got the opportunity to try out for Club MTV as a dancer. There were about
200 people trying out and I thought that I had to be one of the youngest.
Let's just say that my hint was that when people asked me where I went to
school they would ask if I lived on or off campus not realizing that I was
still in high school.
Club MTV was a great experience for me and I am glad that
I was blessed with the opportunity to be on the show. When I moved to Myrtle
Beach in 1993 from
Long Island NY, I never thought that I would be doing what I am doing now.
Currently I am working in Real Estate. I work for
a national builder called Centex Homes, and by
night
I am the host of Club Hour on beach TV.
Wanting to be in the spotlight, helped lead me to the Club hour, and I guess
that you could say "Julie B", has been created by Beach TV. Well
it sticks with me everywhere that I go, but it is easier than Bokinac. I
would say that I love what I do because it takes me to all of the hot spots.
I get to hang out with great people and have a blast wherever I am, and why
not have a mike and a camera with me also.
