Destin itself is planning to have its fireworks at the East Pass Bridge. This is an amazing sight...watching the multi-colored explosions pierce the night, while being reflected in the calm waters off Destin.
There are plenty of places to see this dramatic show from, including several waterfront businesses. When you get to town, take a few minutes to call around and find out which restaurants/bars have seating available.
Did you see The Truman Show? If so, you know that Seaside is a truly singular small town, with an ambience and character unique even among the small communities of the Gulf Coast. This is one place you want to see, no matter the time of year. But, if you're in the area for the Fourth, head out to the 4th of July Parade and other activities at Seaside.
