Emerald Coast Conference Center... and a Game of Golf!

The Emerald Coast Conference Center and golfing are only two of many reasons to visit the Emerald Coast!
Emerald Coast Conference Center.
Destin, FL
If you haven't been to the Emerald Coast before...what are you waiting for? If you have, isn't it time to come again? If the 24 miles of sugar white beaches and emerald green waters that have won praise around the world are not enough reason to visit the "Emerald Coast" again, why not consider the area for your next business meeting, conference or convention? That's right... meeting on the Emerald Coast might be a tad more pleasurable than say, Phoukeepsie, for instance... especially now, even if you've met here before!

And why? Well, there's 35,000 square feet of reasons why... the brand new, absolutely fantastic Emerald Coast Conference Center! It's a flexible, free expanse, column free meeting and exhibition space that includes a 21,500 square foot exhibition hall that is divisible into four meeting rooms ranging from 2,500 - 16,300 square feet, in addition to seven breakout rooms ranging from 465 - 1,830 square feet. There's an additional 2,500 sq. ft. pre-function space as well as a 6,000 square foot kitchen available to accommodate cooking classes and other food functions. There's plenty of delicious food coming from those kitchens with ARAMARK providing all the catering services. Serving quality food isn't new to them as they have been in the business for over 30 years! That wealth of experience always highlights local color and flavor giving guests a variety of delicious menu selections, many typical of a coastal community.

The Emerald Grand Ballroom, a 21,500 sq. foot exhibit hall, is conveniently located on one level and features same-level access to four loading docks and a drive in ramp. The Ballroom can accommodate 118 10x10 booths and all aspects of any exhibition... decorating, electrical, rigging, communication, and concession services are available... even the complimentary useage of a ticket box office! Finally, the Center's technical equipment is cutting edge and unrivaled... state of the art audio, visual, lighting, sound and communication equipment capable of full concert staging and production. Everything has been given consideration and it's all availble to you, including projection screens, projectors, plasma screen televisions, high speed Internet access and dressing rooms! Places everyone... let the show begin!

The conference center is centrally located on beautiful Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach... close to everything and only minutes from Okaloosa Regional Airport (VPS). The airport offers direct flight service from Atlanta, Memphis, Dallas, Houston, Tampa, and Cincinnati. Driving to the Fort Walton Beach area is also a simple task using Highways 231, 331, or Interstate I65 to Interstate 10 continuing South on Hwy 85 South to Miracle Strip Parkway. Either way, the end result is perfection... State Parks, shopping malls, miles and miles of white sugar sand beaches and proximity to more than 2,000 hotel, motel, and condominium rooms. How about two 15-passenger vans on site to assist in transporting attendees? And guests with their own car will be able to park easily in the complimentary lots both inside and outside the center.

But often, it's the outdoor activities that bring people back to the Emerald Coast... swimming, shopping, walking on the beach under the stars at night and... golfing, for instance! The impeccable weather on the Emerald Coast, coupled with lush surroundings and championship tees make golfing possible any time of the year... and golf courses in the Sandestin/Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Island area are among the most challenging in the country. Set in the beautiful woods and wetlands, these links provide spectacular scenery and that extra impetus to play better. Arnold Palmer once said, "Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is at the same time rewarding and maddening.and it is without a doubt, the greatest game mankind has ever invented!" So, even if your time is limited, there's got to be a great golf course near you.waiting for you in fact! These popular courses are also reasonably priced and equipment is readily available... whether renting or buying-but if you're a golfing fanatic, why not bring your own clubs along and head for the freeways whenever the time is right.and that is ALL the time... right?

Sandestin is only 8 miles east of Destin and the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the premier golf destination on the Gulf Coast. Sandestin features four championship courses designed by world-renowned golf course architects, each making dramatic use of the surrounding landscape, wetlands, marshes, beach and bay. The Links Course is the ultimate in "risk reward golf" and it provides its visitors with the most spectacular views on the Emerald Coast. With 5 holes that run along the Choctawhatchee, guests are treated to a links style golf outing like no other. Every day is a different test at the Links depending on which way the Chocawahatchee Bay wind is blowing. This course has been named one of the "Top Five Courses in Northwest Florida" and one of the "Top 100 Courses in Florida" by the Florida Golf News.

Burnt Pine Golf Club at Sandestin is another unrivaled experience on Florida's Northwest Coast. This 7000-yard layout proves why course architect, Rees Jones, is one of the most respected architects in the world. Burnt Pine's rolling fairways and strategically placed bunkers invite golfers to "out duel" the course by using a different approach to every hole. Breathtaking views along the Choctawhatchee Bay highlight the back nine, while the front side brings golfers through the pine forests and wetlands of the Emerald Coast. Side by side with the Raven Golf Club, another Sandestin course designed by Robert Trent Jones. It is the ONLY place in the world where Rees and Robert Trent Jones, Jr. courses "MEET!"

The Bluewater Bay Club is beautifully situated one mile east of Niceville, in Okaloosa County. Bluewater offers 36 holes of top related golf with a course designed by Tom Fazid and Jerry Pate. The Emerald Bay Club in Destin is another great (and beautiful) challenge! It's a semi-private, 18-hole championship course with driving range, putting greens, satellite yardage system and a snack bar, of course. Finally, the Fort Walton Beach Golf Club (across from the fairgrounds) is two public courses in one, with a total of 36 holes and a lighted driving range for those nightime "urges." These are only a few of the many outstanding choices available to every visitor... and the Emerald Coast has only a handful of days that aren't suitable for a game of golf. Make sure you at least plan some kind of leisure activity into your conference or business meeting! As they say, "See it, play it, believe it!"

The new Emerald Coast Conference Center is well aware that each event has its own set of unique circumstances. There's a well informed member of the support staff just waiting for you.... they will answer any and all of your questions, now or in the future. Many of these trained members can provide very useful information for meeting planners, such as facts and specifications, insurance, as well as a detailed breakdown of support staff services during your event. The Emerald Coast is more beautiful than ever with the addition of the Emerald Coast conference Center... additional information can be obtained by calling 850-609-3800! Destin, Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island look forward to welcoming you to the Emerald Coast, whether you're a visitor or conference attendee! It's ALL good!
