Myrtle Beach is no longer the location for two long-running motorcycle events.
The Harley-Davidson Dealers Association Spring Rally and the Atlantic Beach Memorial Day Bikefest will no longer officially be held in Myrtle Beach. Though, some events continue to take place.

Remember those who gave their lives in service by honoring veterans at the Battleship's traditional Memorial Day Observance at Battleship Park featuring a military guest speaker, an all-service Color Guard, a 21-gun salute by a Marine Corps Honor Guard , a military band, Taps, and a memorial wreath cast onto the waters. In June 1984, a few local citizens of Murrells Inlet met at Rosa Linda's to discuss the possibility of a July 4th boat parade. The idea was the result of these thoughts… "If Pawley’s Island can have a parade, then why not Murrells Inlet?" It took only one month to plan the first parade. Only 25 boats were hoped for that first year but they ended up with over 40 participants! It seems that everyone loves a parade. Especially boaters!
