Myrtle Beach Canadian - American Days Festival
Myrtle Beach, SC -Shed the dreary coat of winter and celebrate the commencement of spring during the Canadian-American Days Festival.

For four decades, the festival has welcomed northern vacationers with warm South Carolina sunshine, beach games, community-sponsored activities, sporting events, and musical productions. Traditionally, the festival coincides with Ontario’s school holiday, enabling the entire family to plan a vacation along the 60 miles of clean, sandy beaches of the Grand Strand.
Highlights of the festival include the Little Olympics, International Kitefest, concerts, riverboat tours, South Strand Wildlife and History Day, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in North Myrtle Beach.
The National Shag Dance Championship is another festival favorite, featuring junior, novice, and professional dancers stepping to the beat of South Carolina’s state dance – The Shag. Historical tours of Brookgreen Gardens, the Atalaya Castle, and neighboring antebellum plantations provide visitors with a real flavor of The South.
The Myrtle Beach area is a year-round resort and offers a variety of attractions, including 60 miles of uninterrupted beaches, live entertainment theaters, several amusement parks, hundreds of retail shops and outlet centers, 110 golf courses, approximately 6,200 campsites, and more than 1,850 eating establishments featuring tempting menus, including some of the finest seafood in the world. Also, a wide selection of accommodations is available to vacationers. You’ll find it all, from luxurious condominiums and hotels to rustic summer homes and cottages.
The Canadian-American Days Festival has
been selected one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by the Southeast
Tourism Society. The 1997 festival received The Shining Example Award
