Taste of the Town

Myrtle Beach, SC -

So you're a regular at Myrtle Beach or maybe you've never visited before. Either way, you probably do not know where to start when it comes to dining on the Grand Strand. Along with the ever-growing tourism to the area, there comes an explosion of new restaurants and old ones redone.

Taste of the Town

Your search for answers is over. In October, Myrtle Beach hosts its Taste of the Town. Over 50 of the top restaurants in the area gather at the town's convention center and share their culinary treats for all to sample.

Now really, you ask, are there really that many restaurants, that you need to sample from the best of them once a year? Well, at last count, Myrtle Beach was home to over 1,000 restaurants! Now, if you don't think a little help is in order in sorting things out from that crowd, you're crazy!

And the local dining establishments take the Taste of the Town seriously. So serious is the competition, in fact, that several of the larger, more established restaurants have had to bow out because of the tremendous amount of effort involved.

This is considered a 'make or break' opportunity for many newly opened restaurants, and the perfect venue for them to showcase their specialties.

So bring your appetite and your good will as this is a charity event to benefit local schools. You will not leave this party hungry!
