Getting from the airport to town -

Your best bet is to take a cab from New Orleans International Airport into the city. The trip is about twelve miles, and costs roughly $21, or $8 person for three or more people. As you would anywhere, keep an eye on the meter and let the cabbie know that you're aware of the average cost to downtown. And, realize that this is a rough estimate - actual mileage may vary!

There are airport shuttle services available at the airport. Their prices vary. Many hotels also offer airport shuttle; ask when you register. They can be less expensive than other options.
