Emerald Coast Sprint Triathlon
Panama City Beach, FL -It's about the race... it's about the location... it's about the party... it's about the weekend. Don't forget to smile as you cross the Finish Line, there should be a photographer present taking shots of everyone coming across.
And we make you a promise that you'll have an incredible time the minute you arrive at our beaches. Join us at the finish line after the race for one 'kick ass' awards party, complete with food, beverage, sun, and fun.
Awards will be distributed to the Series winners in the Overall Division, Age Group Divisions, and the Fastest Split Divisions. You must race 3 of the 4 races to be eligible. The awards will be comprised of valuable merchandise and gift certificates.
This is a USA Triathlon monitored course. ANSI approved helmets are required. NO drafting! The series winners will be calculated by a point system that is awarded 5 deep in the divisions as specified. Relay teams can be 2 or 3 person teams. Fat-tired bikes are permitted to compete, but do not have a specified division.
The Emerald Coast Triathlon Series is a USA Triathlon sanctioned race. All participants, if not a USAT member, including relay members, must purchase a one day license ($9) at check-in or you may include it with your entry fee.
Race Course
Swim - 1/3 mile in the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Bike - 15 miles along the beautiful beaches of Panama City Beach.
Run - 3.25 miles through the beach's residential area.
Divisions / Awards
Age Groups - 13 and under, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+, MILITARY Male/Female,
Awards go 5 deep.
Top 3 - OVERALL - Male/Female,
CLYDESDALE - (Male 200 lbs +),
ATHENA - (Female 145 lbs +)
Awards to first place only -
MASTER - Male/Female (40+),
GRANDMASTER - Male/Female (50+),
GREAT GRANDMASTER - Male/Female (60+),
RELAYS - Male, Female, Mixed.
