Spring Festival of the Arts
Panama City Beach, FL -The first Spring Festival of the Arts was held on March 29, 1969 at McKenzie Park for one day only and raised $450. The original focus of the festival was to introduce art to the children in the community. It has now grown into a 3-day event and raised over $23,000 in years past.

Spring Festival is held the first weekend of May each year. An early shopping opportunity is held Friday night and includes a silent auction. Then Saturday and Sunday there is shopping, entertainment, and free art activities for children. P.C. Juniors host more than 100 artists as well as numerous food vendors. T-shirts designed each year by a local artist are sold to the public. The weekend is full of entertainment present on the gazebo stage ranging from dance troupes to college bands.
The Children's Art Experience is located under a large tent at the front of the park. It has free art projects for children to make, enjoy and take home. The Children's Art Market is also located under this tent and is full of art donated by artists selling in the park that weekend and most items are priced at $5 or less. The children are allowed to shop (without parents) with a Junior to purchase a gift for themselves or possibly a parent since Mother's day is soon to come.
The artists also are kind enough to donate items for an Art Auction/Art Giveaway. The Art Giveaway is a raffle sold throughout the weekend with winners also picked each day. A silent Art Auction is held for the patrons attending Preview Party...another magnificent way of creating more money for charity!
The entire proceeds from the Spring Festival of the Arts are donated to needy charities and causes in the area. The Panama City Juniors have been involved for over thirty years and everyone finds it a very gratifying experience. They extend a warm invitation to anyone visiting Panama City during the first weekend in May- don't miss this "artful" and youthful experience...consider yourself perpetually invited to the Spring Festival of the Arts!
This festival offers something for everyone
of every age! All of the children's activities are free of charge and help
stimulate the creative juices of every young patron.
