Pensacola Beach throws one of the most spectacular 4th of July Celebrations in the country with fireworks exploding dramatically over the Gulf of Mexico.
If you've never experienced a celebration of the Fourth from the beach, you won't want to miss this opportunity... fireworks overhead, soft sand crunching beneath your feet, and impromptu parties up and down the beach!
The crowds head to the beach in the early afternoon to start celebrating early. Parking can sometimes be a problem - another reason to get an early start!
Pensacola Beach hurls thousands of awesome fireworks into the night sky, beginning right after dusk. The sight of the explosions reflected off the water is worth the trip alone.
Don't get in a hurry to leave after the light show. All you'll end up doing is waiting in a long line snaking over Pensacola Bay Bridge!
Instead stay for the parties most bars and nightclubs throw along the beach, or get a late dinner at one of the Beach's excellent restaurants. Make a day of it!
Not a beach person? Check out downtown Pensacola's 4th of July celebrations at Seville Square. For the 24th year, area Sertoma organizations are once again coordinating and hosting the largest Fireworks display on the Gulf Coast over Pensacola Bay.
There will be activities throughout the day, from 11:00am until 6:30pm, at Seville Square to include a FREE Children’s Area with inflatables and pony rides, Arts and Crafts vendors, Food vendors, and live entertainment on the gazebo stage beginning at 11:00am.
The festivities will culminate with the fireworks show over Pensacola Bay, synchronized with music broadcast on Cat Country FM 98.7.
