Well you can blame that on the bible thumping do gooders out there and MADD and SADD and anyone else who is tired of seeing the carnage on the road ways. Look I agree with you that the drinking laws in our country are antiquated and dated and don't take into consideration real life issues. But it goes way back to home life first. If you teach youngsters early what a drink is and the consequences of abuse then it becomes a non issue. My linage is German and as early as 4 5 and 6 years of age I remember drinking Kinder beer and have had wine at the Sunday dinner table along and along, so when I got to high school and college instead of going, oh boy lets get drunk, I yawned because it was a non event. I do not believe that abstinence of life is the correct thing, learning how to deal with the reality of being a human being is. We as humans will try it just because. Sorry, did not mean to get into this so deeply, but it always ticks me to hear the same old crap and it boils down to someone else dictating how we should act by law and not common sense.
