Having attended GCCC and FSU, I'd say it depends on what you're looking for. GCCC is an excellent school academically, and they've got great facilities and an awesome staff. But you won't find a huge party scene at GCCC (or PCB for that matter, with exception to Spring Break). It's a little more laid back. Don't get me wrong, you'll find plenty of stuff to do on most weekends, but it's nothing like a big university. The same can be said for the small FSU branch here in PCB. The student community is very small and most students are longtime locals or from nearby.
FSU (in Tallahassee), on the other hand, is like any other big university... with Sorority and Frat parties, dozens of happening bars on any given night, many cultures and communities for students, apartment complexes and neighborhoods devoted entirely to students (with non-stop parties all the time), major sporting events (FSU football is INSANE!), and a wide spectrum of students from all over the country. The campus is awesome and the girl to guy ratio is close to even... or maybe even a little better. And soooo many of the girls are gorgeous!
But, I have to admit, if I had started off at FSU, I would never have graduated. GCCC helped keep me grounded and put me in sight of a diploma. It made it a little easier to control my partying at FSU. (well..... somewhat controlled

)
