I do know that in Panama City, the Bay County Fair Grounds have been converted to a temporary shelter for evacuees who cannot go home, but have no other place to go. The Fairgrounds are located at the corner of 15th St (HWY 98) and Sherman Ave. in Cedar Grove. It's about a 15-20 minute drive east of the Beaches and Hathaway Bridge.

Also, reports are many hotels are offering long-term rates for evacuees.
