Matt is an Atlanta native, born and raised since birth on the east side of the city. Spending the early part of his youth immersed in the local punk and hardcore scene, the owner of his neighorhood record store began putting him onto tapes of DJ Shadow and early drum n' bass such as the Metalheadz Platinum Breakz series. As time went on and his obsession with technology & forward thinking grew, Matt realized the aesthetic of electronic music fit his mindset more than the heavily politicized styles of punk and began exploring with artists such as Underworld, Orbital, LTJ Bukem, Leftfield, The Crystal Method, and The Orb
