Our dog goes with us EVERYwhere.... and there are LOTS of hotels that welcome dogs. The other solution here in Panama City Beach is the Beaches Pet Motel... kinda cool if your condo or hotel won't welcome your pooch, cos you can take your dog to the "motel" at night - where he/she can enjoy a slumber party with friends, then, you can pick him/her up in the morning and hang out together, go for walks, etc. The place is owned by vets, and they do a GREAT job - brand new building - nice folks.... nice runs.
